Panhandle Library Tour / High School Opportunity

Theatre West writes and presents an original musical using the theme for the Panhandle Library Summer Reading program.   High School students are cast in the production and perform in 16 – 16 libraries in western Nebraska during the last two weeks of June.  


Theatre Opportunity For Youth / 2019 / TOFY Camp / a 2-week theatre camp for children ages 8 – 15 auditions for, rehearses, and performs a children’s musical production.   Auditions and registration are held in April.   The 2019 musical production will be ‘LION KING JUNIOR”.  

 Pictured below is Hanna Shaddick as Annie and a 30-member orphan chorus in the 2018 production “ANNIE KIDS”.    68 youth participated in the camp and each played a role in the musical production.   

2018 Library Tour

Theatre West writes and presents an original musical performed by   10-12 high school youth for 15 Nebraska Panhandle Libraries and several additional community venues.   The 2018 musical was titled “ADVENTURES IN STORYLAND”  and was written for the theme of the library summer reading program. 

High School Shadow Program / 2019 Summer Season

Theatre West invites high school students ages 15 – 18  to take part in an Intern Shadow program.  / Areas within the program includes Production Assistance, Office Assistance, House Management Assistance and Training
